Fleet GARMIN Routing and Dispatching

With purpose-built hardware optimized specifically for fleet use, Garmin provides an uncompromised navigation experience with a proven driver-centric user interface at its core. Its magnetic mount allows for easy removal and docking. Its capabilities range from basic (messaging/job dispatch) to advanced (sensor alerts, HOS).The device easily connects to the GO Device using the IOX-GARMIN. Once connected, the driver can use the Garmin as an interface for communication with the dispatcher. It can be used to send routes and “stops” data to the driver for faster communication, increasing the efficiency of the fleet.

Garmin enables drivers to easily manage their log reports and eliminate paper-based logs. Paperless log management reduces errors. Fleets that meet HOS compliance requirements have a lower chance of accidents, injuries and fatalities. Garmin keeps track and alerts drivers to potential violations in advance. Fleet Managers can view HOS data on MyGeotab for easy and accurate reporting.
Garmin offers easy-to-understand, spoken driving directions that guide using recognizable landmarks, buildings and traffic lights. Garmin is preloaded with detailed maps for the U.S. and Canada that also include truck-related restrictions, such as bridge heights, and related information for most major roads and highways. Just enter your vehicle profile information (customizable by height, weight, length, width and hazardous materials) and find truck-preferred routes suitable for your rig and load. You can also enter multiple stops for more efficient routing. The onboard Trip Planner lets you create multiple-stop routes and plan and save future trips.

Offering the protection of “an eyewitness that never blinks,” the Nuvicam is a high-definition dash cam that records your drive. If a collision occurs, the device’s Incident Detection G-sensor will automatically save files on impact. GPS records exactly where and when events occurred. The camera’s swivel lens lets you adjust camera angle for better recording from your Nuvicam's windshield or dashboard mounting location. You can play back the video on the GARMIN display and even view a map of where you were at the time of the incident. You can even watch the video later on your computer using the Dash Cam Player. There is also a Snapshot feature on the Nuvicam that allows you to capture still images. For storage of your recorded video data, a microSD™ card (class 4 or higher) is included with your device.
Garmin’s Nuvicam records the road ahead of the driver. The camera detects lane boundaries and spacing from other vehicles on the road. Alerts are issued for unintended lane departures and forward collision warnings.
