New Product Updates – February 2026
Mississauga, ON – February 30, 2026
At GoFleet, we’re committed to providing the innovative tools you need to stay ahead in an evolving industry. This month’s updates focus on deepening your safety insights, simplifying regulatory compliance, and expanding the way you track and communicate with your entire fleet. By bridging the gap between hardware-driven data and mobile-first management, we’re giving you more flexibility than ever to protect your assets, empower your drivers, and drive operational efficiency from a single, unified platform.
Top MyGeotab Updates
Advanced Safety: Introducing Tailgating Risk
Geotab is taking collision prevention to the next level by adding Tailgating Risk to the Collision Risk page and the Geotab Drive app.
- The Feature: Using ADAS and GO Focus camera data, MyGeotab now provides specific tailgating scores for assets and drivers.
- Why it Matters: Tailgating is a leading cause of rear-end collisions. You can now benchmark your fleet against industry standards and identify specific coaching opportunities before an accident occurs.
- Note: This is currently available for Medium and Heavy-Duty vehicles using GO Focus hardware.
Video Telematics: GO Focus Plus & Video Coaching
Managing video data is now more flexible and driver-friendly with several key enhancements:
- Independent Retention: Define how long video stays on the camera vs. the cloud to meet varying legal or storage requirements.
- Privacy Blurring: Automatically blur faces and license plates in-cabin and on the road to maintain driver trust and global compliance.
- Smart Rule Escalation: Distinguish between minor slips and persistent bad habits, allowing drivers to self-correct before you’re even notified.
- Winter Mode & Security: A new “Deep Sleep” mode kicks in after 72 hours of idling to save 90% of battery life, while new SD card tampering alerts notify you if a card is removed.
Compliance: Canadian ELD & HOS Improvements
- License Plates on PDF: The Canadian ELD PDF report now automatically includes the vehicle license plate. This ensures you meet specific provincial regulations during roadside inspections without manual data entry.
- Seamless Log Edits: Soon, drivers and admins can directly edit the automatic “On-Duty” log that occurs when a vehicle stops. This eliminates those annoying 1-2 second “fragment” logs that used to clutter records.
Maintenance Schedules Graduate from Beta
The redesigned Maintenance Schedules tool is now officially live for all users.
- The Update: It’s now significantly faster to create schedules, set repeat intervals, and bulk-assign them to specific groups or assets.
- The Benefit: Reduces the administrative burden of keeping your fleet compliant and your vehicles healthy.
MyGeotab Hardware & Government Notifications
Real-Time Collision Detection (US Gov)
Real-Time Collision Detection (RTCD) is now available and enabled by default for US Commercial Government customers. This provides instant notifications for both major and minor incidents, streamlining emergency response and insurance claims.
Important Installation Notice: Ethernet (DoIP) Bypass
If you are using the HRN-GS16K22-A (16-pin T-Harness), there is a critical update for vehicles with Ethernet networks:
- Action Required: Installers must disconnect the 2-pin Molex connector (connected by default) for Ethernet-equipped vehicles.
- Why: Leaving it connected can interfere with OEM software upgrades and diagnostic tools. We recommend checking existing installations at your next maintenance interval.
GoFleet Product Updates
Track What Matters – Even Without The Hardware
Introducing a new Non-Tracked Record Type within the asset creation and edit flow. This update gives you more flexibility in how you manage assets – whether they currently have hardware installed or not. You can now retain historical data for retired vehicles and easily create records for untracked assets like trailers, all within the same system.
Key Updates
- Retain historical data when retiring a vehicle and moving hardware to another asset
- Remove hardware without losing access to past asset data
- Create and manage untracked assets (e.g., trailers) without installed hardware
- Keep all assets aligned in the system – tracked or untracked
Why It Matters
Asset management doesn’t always involve active hardware. Previously, retiring vehicles or managing untracked assets could disrupt data continuity. With the Non-Tracked Record Type, you maintain visibility, preserve historical records, and ensure your asset list accurately reflects real-world operations – without workarounds or data loss.

Tag More, Coach Smarter!
This release introduces the ability to multi-tag exceptions. Users can now apply up to five tags per exception or video, allowing more detailed documentation of driver behavior and environmental factors observed during the event.
Key Updates
- Apply multiple tags (up to five) to a single exception or video.
- Tags can reflect different indicators observed by reviewers (e.g., driver actions, environmental conditions).
- Workflow status (e.g., Needs Coaching) remains unchanged after tagging.
- Supports coaching managers in identifying specific areas of concern for driver safety.
Why It Matters
Multi-tagging provides richer context for exceptions, helping fleet managers and coaching teams better understand patterns in driver behavior and environmental factors. This leads to more targeted coaching, improved safety insights, and more effective incident management.
